• Vienna International airport (VIE) plus a direct train from the airport to Graz, across the scenic Semmering mountain pass (3 hrs)

International Rail Travel

OBB Trains has an extensive railway network connecting the whole of Austria and neighbouring European cities such as Belgium, Brussels, France, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. 

Graz is accessible by train, on an overnight direct journey from Brussels, Berlin, Zurich and other cities in Europe, Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and France. 

By Car

A2 highway exit Graz-Ost (1,5 km) and take Conrad-von-Hötzendorf-Straße into the city.

Parking spaces are available at P1 Fröhlichgasse & P2 Messegelände

Travel within Graz

Trams

Trams run throughout the city centre and delegates are able to use the trams, free of charge using their congress badge to travel from their hotel to the congress centre as well as to the welcome reception and congress party venue from their hotel or the congress centre.

Tram stations for the lines 4, 5, 6 (13):

• Jakominigürtel (Messe)
• Stadthalle
• Fröhlichgasse (Messe)
• Münzgrabenstrasse (Messe)

Taxi transfers from/to the airport

There is a a taxi rank directly in front of the passenger hall, close to the arrivals area.

Bus from the airport to the city centre

Public buses ensure a smooth and convenient transfer between Graz airport and the main station in Graz, Jakominiplatz.  The bus stop is directly outside the passenger terminal, right next to the departure area.  The price for a one-way trip is EUR 3.00.
