The Lagoa region, one of the safest destinations to travel, is a small piece of paradise in the south of Portugal in the Algarve. With a mild climate, with more than three thousand hours of sunshine per year and close to Faro International Airport, Lagoa offers visitors, warm people, places of contrasts that make diversity their greatest asset. Fishing, wine production and the fish preserves industry breathed life and prosperity into Lagoa at the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th.
