British Pain Society Expands Webinar Programme for 2026

The BPS deepens its digital education offering with a robust series of new member webinars throughout 2026.

British Pain Society (BPS) has significantly expanded its webinar programme for 2026, launching a series of new online educational sessions for members and healthcare professionals working in pain management across the UK and internationally.

The expanded programme covers a broad range of clinically relevant and topical subjects. Recent and forthcoming webinars include sessions on pain research funding opportunities; the influence of childhood experiences on adult pain; mindfulness-based lifestyle approaches for chronic conditions, including long-COVID syndrome; and strategies for integrating supportive self-management into clinical services, delivered in collaboration with the Primary & Community Care Special Interest Group (SIG) and Live Well with Pain.

An additional webinar is being developed to help health professionals navigate the sensitive early conversations with patients who are transitioning to non-medical, non-cure-seeking chronic pain support. A session designed to be empathetic, person-centred, and focused on quality of life. This session is being delivered in partnership with Women in Neuroscience UK.

The BPS is also hosting a joint webinar with the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), the European Psychiatric Association (EPA), and the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS) entitled "Sleep as a Lifestyle Factor for Mental Health across the Lifespan" — a cross-society collaboration exploring how sleep and lifestyle interact with brain development and mental health.

Recordings of completed webinars are available via the BPS website's dedicated webinar section, making the content accessible to members on a flexible basis.
