IoTSF and TechWorks AI conference to explore convergence of IoT resilience and trustworthy AI

The IoT Security Foundation's 11th Annual Conference in London will co-locate with the inaugural TechWorks-AI Conference, highlighting the critical integration of IoT resilience with trustworthy AI amidst growing security challenges.

The IoT Security Foundation (IoTSF) is set to host its 11th Annual Conference on October 30, 2025, at the IET, Savoy Place in London, marking a significant milestone as the longest-standing event dedicated specifically to IoT cybersecurity. This year introduces a major evolution by co-locating with the inaugural TechWorks-AI Conference, under a shared theme: Resilient IoT + Trustable AI. This strategic partnership reflects the increasing convergence of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies with artificial intelligence (AI), emphasising the need for integrated approaches in securing these interdependent domains.

Recognised globally for its authoritative programmes and broad international participation, the IoTSF Conference offers delegates a comprehensive experience through a single ticket that grants access to both conferences. Attendees will gain from over 40 expert speakers presenting across three parallel tracks, covering critical topics such as hardware security, post-quantum cryptography, supply chain integrity, procurement, regulation, and AI’s role as a security enabler. These discussions aim to illuminate the latest emerging threats and innovative solutions, alongside extensive networking opportunities, an exhibition showcase, and dedicated sessions on best practices for securing connected systems.

As IoT devices proliferate and AI technologies advance, the sector faces heightened risks and elevated stakes in terms of security and trust. AI serves a dual role in this landscape, acting as both a powerful tool for cyber defence and a potential attack vector when exploited maliciously. The co-location of these conferences underscores the necessity of combining IoT resilience efforts with trustworthy AI development. By fostering dialogue across these interlinked spheres, the event seeks to promote the creation of systems that not only protect interconnected devices but also ensure AI operates transparently, reliably, and safely.

John Moor, Co-Founder and Managing Director of the IoT Security Foundation, emphasised this sentiment, stating, “IoT and AI technologies are transforming our economies and societies at unprecedented speed. Together, they create enormous opportunities for innovation and growth, but also profound risks if not secured and trusted. By aligning IoT resilience with AI trust, this year’s conference sets the stage for building technologies that truly serve society.” His comments highlight the balance of innovation and security that the industry must achieve.

The IoTSF Conference is hosted by TechWorks, a UK organisation supporting over 300 companies in microelectronics and technology sectors. TechWorks brings together various advanced engineering and innovation networks, including cybersecurity through IoTSF, artificial intelligence via TechWorks AI, semiconductors (NMI and DESN), and automotive electronics innovation (AESIN). Established in 1996, TechWorks has been pivotal in nurturing the UK’s deep tech ecosystem, aiming to establish the nation as a global technology superpower by harnessing its world-class innovation capabilities.

Charles Sturman, CEO of TechWorks, commented on the significance of the collaboration: “The IoTSF Conference has always been a flagship event for the IoT community. By co-locating with TechWorks-AI, we’re creating a unique forum where IoT resilience and AI trust are explored side by side. This dual focus reflects the challenges of today and the opportunities for tomorrow.” His remarks underscore the forward-looking approach of the combined events, oriented towards addressing current security challenges while seizing emerging opportunities.

The co-located conference is designed not only to deliver high-quality technical insights but also to foster collaboration among industry leaders, government representatives, and academic experts. This holistic gathering aims to support the development of integrated security frameworks that account for both IoT ecosystems and AI-driven innovations, ensuring these technologies benefit society securely and responsibly.

For executives and decision-makers within associations, confederations, and trade bodies in the tech sector, the conference presents an unparalleled opportunity to stay abreast of key security trends, engage with influential thought leaders, and explore cutting-edge solutions at the nexus of IoT and AI. The event’s comprehensive agenda and networking platform will help stakeholders better serve their members by adopting best practices and preparing for evolving cybersecurity landscapes.
