European Passengers' Federation sets 23rd conference for Maastricht
The European Passengers' Federation has confirmed that its 23rd annual conference will take place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, on 5 and 6 June 2026.
The Federation, which represents passenger organisations and bodies promoting sustainable mobility across Europe, uses its annual conference to bring together member organisations, policymakers, transport operators, researchers and advocates to examine standards, policy developments and the future of public and long-distance transport across the continent.
Maastricht is a fitting host for such a gathering. One of Europe's most connected mid-sized cities, it benefits from direct rail links to Amsterdam, Brussels and Aachen, placing it at a natural crossroads of European mobility networks. The city's location reinforces the Federation's longstanding focus on cross-border mobility and international rail passenger rights.
The European Passengers' Federation conducts research, publishes reports, holds conferences and works constructively with transport operators and decision-makers at European level to campaign for stronger passenger rights and improved standards. The 23rd conference will serve as a key moment for the network to review progress against European mobility policy goals and set priorities for the year ahead.
Separately, the Federation also noted that its member organisation Promoció del Transport Públic will host the eighth edition of its own annual event in Spain on 8 and 9 April 2026.
