AESIN conference to showcase UK's advances in automotive electronics at historic British Motor Museum

The 12th AESIN Automotive Electronics Systems Conference will showcase UK innovations in vehicles at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon.

The Automotive Electronics Systems Innovation Network (AESIN) has announced its 12th annual Automotive Electronics Systems Conference, set to take place on 19 June 2025 at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire. This venue, noted for its historical significance, is situated in the heart of the UK automotive sector and has connections to iconic manufacturers such as Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin.

As the premier event in the automotive electronics calendar, this conference aims to highlight the advances being made by UK-based companies in the realms of automotive electronics and software systems. According to the organisers, the event will feature a robust programme designed to showcase innovations that are shaping the future of mobility—specifically through electrification and automation. The 2025 theme, “The Future is Electronic: from AI to Power,” encapsulates the growing emphasis on technologies that redefine transportation.

Expected to attract a diverse group of over 25 speakers, including representatives from industry giants like Jaguar Land Rover and Green Hills Software, the conference promises an engaging platform for knowledge exchange. Attendees will benefit from four dedicated sessions tackling various critical subjects in the field, along with interactive panels, workshops, and ample networking opportunities. Notably, the event will conclude with an evening meal, providing a relaxed atmosphere for attendees to foster deeper professional relationships.

Gunny Dhadyalla, the AESIN Director, emphasised the conference's relevance in the current automotive landscape. He remarked, “We are witnessing significant growth in electronics and software, driven by the global shift towards electrified and automated mobility.” The conference aims to underscore the UK’s strategic position within this evolving industry and explore the impact of software-defined vehicles and artificial intelligence on future developments.

The British Motor Museum, which will host the event, is home to the world's largest collection of historic British cars, further enhancing the conference's appeal. Opened in 1993, the museum not only showcases over 400 vehicles but also serves as a vital educational hub dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of the British automotive industry. It includes interactive displays that chronicle the evolution of automotive design and engineering within the UK, making it a fitting backdrop for an event focusing on innovation and future prospects.

Among the notable attractions at the museum is the adjacent Jaguar Land Rover Gaydon Centre, which is pivotal for the research and development of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. This centre enhances the synergy between automotive innovation and historical context, reflecting the balance between legacy and future advancements in the industry.

In addition to the conference set for June, the British Motor Museum will also host specialised events throughout 2025, including a celebration of Aston Martin's Vantage model in August. This event is expected to draw in car enthusiasts and historians, further supporting the museum's role as a key destination for automotive culture.

As registration for the 2025 AESIN Conference is now open, this flagship event stands as a critical gathering for stakeholders across the automotive and electronics sectors.
