About the Organisation
Founded in 1989, the European Association for International Education is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. We are a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in the internationalisation of their institutions. We employ more than 45 international staff members, and the official office working language is English.
About the role
As our Administrative Assistant, you are responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to the Strategy and Organisation team. You will be working one to two days in the EAIE offices located in Amsterdam and the rest from home. You thrive in an international environment, are highly collaborative, and feel comfortable working independently when needed. You will report to the Chief of Staff and will be part of the Strategy and Organisation team.
Responsibilities
Office Support:
- Contract management
- Travel bookings and registrations
- Hotel bookings
- Meeting room bookings
- Catering arrangements
- Postage and office administration
- Staff gathering logistics
- Volunteering activity logistics
- Expense claims administration
- Credit card receipt collection and processing
- General office support
Volunteer Administration:
- Maintain volunteer biographies, contact details, and records
- Track volunteer expenses
- Process volunteer reimbursements
- Schedule volunteer meetings
- Support meeting logistics
Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes
Required:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in office software

Required Qualifications
- Minimum level of MBO degree in a relevant field

Conditions of employment
- A valid work permit and already be living in the Netherlands.
Working locations
- 20% (Amsterdam Office) / 80% Remote
