About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, creative marketing team and help the Law Society effectively promote the value of our products to our members and their businesses, from our flagship conferences to our premium member offer. You will be a key supporting member of the team, collaborating with all marketing colleagues on member-focused campaigns, marketing intelligence and research, as well as organisational and administrative support.

You will play a key role in content creation, campaign reporting, and organisational support within the Product Marketing Team and wider marketing department, to ensure our campaigns are dynamic, creative, and always put our members first. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including fellow Member Communications and Marketing colleagues, Social and Content teams, as well as our Events, Learning, Accreditations and Membership Engagement colleagues, to support the marketing team with project coordination and campaign management. Support the Product Marketing Team in their delivery of creative, data-led customer-centric marketing campaigns to promote the Law Society’s product marketing function, which includes awareness and revenue generation and audience insights whilst providing administrative support that underpins marketing outputs.  Collaborate with colleagues across Member Communications and Marketing, as well as other teams, to understand audiences, products and services; supporting a wide range of activity that increases reach, builds awareness, generates leads, and elevates the member experience. This is a key role for the department in co-ordinating day-to-day activities that help efficient marketing delivery and collaborative working.

Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Support the team with the smooth delivery of projects and campaigns, taking on ad hoc work in line with the level of the post. 
  • Act as a reliable and effective first point of contact for product marketing requests and activities. 
  • Provide general administrative support to the Product Marketing team, such as scheduling meetings, organising files, and assisting with project administration as needed. 
  • Proof and review marketing assets and collateral to make sure they are clear, concise, and work with the brand team to ensure they align with our brand guidelines. 
  • Support with reviewing and reporting on campaigns by sharing learnings across the team, working with Team Leads and Marketing Executives to help continuously improve outputs, including activity across a variety of channels, such as email, paid media, social media, and web. 
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of our audience segments, working closely with colleagues across departments to ensure a quality customer experience. 
  • Work with the data team to support data extraction from the Law Society’s CRM system, including data manipulation and checking for quality control.
  • Be the central person in the Product Marketing team for financial processes, including raising and recording purchase orders for marketing activity, regular liaising with Team Leads and the Head of Marketing to ensure financial processes run smoothly, communicating with colleagues and suppliers on required actions and timelines, and being the first point of contact for all purchase order and invoice enquiries for the Product Marketing Team with internal stakeholders.
  • Work in a proactive and efficient way to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience working in a professional environment  
  • Experience building effective working relationships with colleagues. 
  • Ability to work flexibly across different areas of work and tasks within agreed deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to proofread. 
  • Proficient in numeracy.
  • High level of attention to detail. 
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office package (or equivalent) including the ability to work with spreadsheets, documents, slides, and emails. 
  • Systems or data handling skills including oversight of CRM tracking tools and Excel-based reporting 
  • Ability to successfully manage workloads during busy and challenging periods.
  • Self-motivated with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion 
  • Experience in marketing    
  • Knowledge of either the legal sector or experience of working for a membership organisation.  

Desirable:

  • Experience of using a marketing email platform.
  • Paid media and organic social media experience
  • Basic content design experience such as Canva, Photoshop or similar 

Required Qualifications

  • Marketing-related experience and a marketing qualification or professional post-graduate qualification.
