Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is a UK-based charity that provides life-changing experiences through horse riding and carriage driving for children and adults with physical and learning disabilities. Established in 1969, the RDA works across the UK through a network of local groups, all run by trained volunteers and professionals.

About the role
We are now looking for a Fundraising and Database Development Officer to join the team at our national office in Warwickshire, and help us to continue our work. This role will support income generation by providing assistance to the Fundraising team. Key areas of focus include fundraising data management, central relationship management (CRM) development and digital transformation, and coordination of fundraising resources.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise the fundraising CRM to maintain accurate, accessible and reliable supporter data, enhancing workflows, processes and supporter journeys to improve operational efficiency and support fundraising objectives.
- Manage fundraising data processes, including imports, exports and supporter segmentation, while maintaining high standards of data quality, compliance and GDPR adherence to support effective fundraising campaigns and stewardship activities.
- Administration of the legacy pipeline, working with our external legacy administrators and supporting the Partnership Manager – Philanthropy and Legacies in tracking legacy prospects through the pipeline, maintaining up-to-date records and progress reports.
- Process and reconcile donations across multiple income streams, ensuring accurate records, timely donor acknowledgements and effective supporter stewardship while maintaining alignment with finance systems.
- Produce and analyse fundraising performance reports, dashboards and KPIs, providing data-driven insights, income forecasting and trend analysis to support strategic planning, budgeting and decision-making.
- Deliver excellent supporter care through the effective management of donor enquiries, communications and stewardship activities, ensuring GDPR compliance, strong supporter engagement and the timely resolution of donor-related matters.
- Support the delivery and growth of the ‘In Memory’ fundraising programme by maintaining accurate records, coordinating stewardship and communications, monitoring performance, and working closely with the Community & Events Manager to enhance supporter engagement and maximise income.
- Review and enhance fundraising processes and systems to improve efficiency, data management and supporter experience, supporting system developments and maintaining clear operational procedures and documentation.
- Coordinate the development, distribution and management of fundraising resources and materials, ensuring effective campaign delivery, accurate stock control and timely support for fundraising activities and events.
- Support CRM migration and digital transformation projects through data management, system testing, process improvement and user support, ensuring successful implementation, adoption and delivery of organisational objectives.
- Provide comprehensive administrative, operational and analytical support to the Head of Fundraising, coordinating departmental activities and delivering performance reporting and insights to inform strategic decision-making and planning.
- Support key fundraising events as required
- Demonstrate the values and cultural aspirations of RDA, ensuring consideration is given to our charitable aims and objectives in all activities
- To undertake other duties as determined by the line manager from time to time
Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working with fundraising CRM systems such as Beacon, Raiser's Edge, etc
- Strong data management, analysis and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency with reporting tools.
- Understanding of fundraising operations, supporter care and donor stewardship.
- Knowledge of GDPR, data protection and fundraising compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Experience of CRM implementation, migration or digital transformation projects would be highly desirable.
- Experience of producing management reports, dashboards and fundraising performance analysis
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of Legacy and In Memory administration
- Understanding of Fundraising Best Practice and The Fundraising Code of Practice
- Awareness of charity sector trends and fundraising innovation
- Experience of project work related to digital transformation or system change
- Experience of developing automated workflows, forms or fundraising processes
Working locations
- Hybrid model, working in the Warwickshire office and remotely
