About the Organisation
European Business Angels Network (EBAN) is the European trade association of early-stage investors, uniting 130+ member organisations across 50+ countries, including business angels, networks, federations, early-stage funds, accelerators, and funding platforms. Since 1999, EBAN has represented their interests, facilitating angel investment, innovation support, and startup growth across the continent.
Angel investing represents over two-thirds of private investments in early-stage SMEs and startups, with the European market contributing nearly €8 billion annually in cumulative investments. Our work fuels innovation, job creation, and economic growth across the EU. EBAN’s mission revolves around five key pillars:

About the role
EBAN is seeking a motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic EU Projects Manager to join our team in Brussels. The selected candidate will lead the daily implementation and management of projects funded by the European Commission or similar institutions, with an initial focus on the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator. This project connects startups and corporates across the EU, Latin America, and the Caribbean to boost intercontinental cooperation and innovation. The candidate’s role will include:
- Project and stakeholder management on a large-scale innovation project
- Startup scouting across multiple channels
- Scouting for corporate challenges
- Providing acceleration services to startups, including mentoring and investment readiness services
- Keeping project CRM tools up to date
Over time, the candidate will also support or lead other EBAN projects, generally focused on:
- Training and accelerating startups
- Developing innovation and investment ecosystems
- Creating educational content on early-stage investing and technology
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor progress toward milestones, KPIs, and deliverables
- Plan, coordinate, and execute project activities and timelines across multiple tools
- Serve as the primary communication hub for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop partnerships between corporates and entrepreneurs
- Lead the preparation of project deliverables
- Draft technical interim and final reports
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial reports
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and EU project accounting
- Represent EBAN at EU project events and consortium meetings
Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of working experience with at least 1 year of experience in managing Horizon Europe, Erasmus, or other EU-funded projects
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills and attention to detail
- Experience in the investment and startup ecosystems is a strong asset
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask effectively
- Experience in sales, partnerships, or similar roles is an asset
- Comfortable with outbound outreach to new stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with the Monday CRM tool is a plus
- Resilient, team-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of EU project technical and financial reporting
- Experience identifying funding calls and contributing to grant proposal writing is a strong asset
