About the Organisation

Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) is a respected Brussels-based European think tank. Its 55+ membership includes major energy, internet, telecom, media, and mobility companies, as well as national regulatory authorities and prestigious university centres, from Europe and beyond.

CERRE’s mission is to contribute, in full academic independence, to ever better regulation in the above sectors. CERRE’s academic team includes many of the best experts in their respective disciplines and areas of expertise. This allows the think tank to deliver timely and relevant policy recommendations on its reports and issue papers, as well as dissemination activities (conferences, seminars, workshops, etc), both deliverables being read and attended by senior-level public officials, corporate executives, and academics.

About the role

CERRE, the Centre on Regulation in Europe, is a leading European think tank committed to providing top-quality, policy-relevant research in the fields of regulation in energy, mobility, and the digital economy. The Senior Communications Officer plays a central role in increasing the visibility and impact of CERRE’s research and policy recommendations. The role is responsible for developing and delivering communications activities that engage policymakers, regulators, industry representatives, academics, and other stakeholders across Europe and beyond.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the role covers the full communications mix, including media relations, digital communications, events, webinars, and stakeholder outreach. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the Senior Communications Officer contributes to the development and implementation of CERRE’s communications strategy, translating complex research into clear and compelling content, and ensuring a consistent and professional external profile. The Senior Communications Officer works closely with the Events Officer and Junior Communications Officer, helping to coordinate activities and ensure alignment across projects.
