About the role

We are recruiting a proactive and highly organised Qualifications Coordinator to support the development, maintenance and delivery of RSPH’s regulated qualifications. In this varied and impactful role, you will work closely with the Head of Education and Assessment to produce and maintain assessment materials, coordinate examiners and verifiers, support qualification reviews and ensure the smooth administration of results and certification. You will also play a key role in supporting centres, contributing to examiner training and engagement events, and maintaining strong relationships across our education and assessment network.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with the Head of Education and Assessment as appropriate in the design, development, maintenance, review, and evaluation of RSPH qualifications.
  • To work closely with the Head of Education and Assessment on the development of question banks, examination papers and other assessment materials for new qualifications.
  • Ensure that question banks and examination papers are reviewed, maintained, and updated.
  • Carry out item analysis of multiple-choice examination questions and enter this information into the question banks as appropriate.
  • To coordinate the Qualification Reviews process for the RSPH suite of qualifications
  • Ensure the availability of examiners/verifiers for the marking of examination scripts and other assessed work.
  • Assign examination scripts and other assessed work to approved examiners/verifiers
  • To support the Head of Education and Assessment in the running of the Sector Advisory Panels for the sector
  • To provide administrative support and contribute to Examiner Training Days for RSPH examiners.
  • To provide administrative support in the planning and delivery of assessor events.
  • To assist the Qualifications Operations Executive with the daily administration of qualifications and provide support to centres delivering, or wishing to deliver, qualifications within their defined sector
  • To help process and import all MCQ results to Quartz
  • To administer all results, paper-based and e-certificates to centres within agreed timescales
  • Lead the organisation and/or attend support events for Centres.
  • Develop and maintain links with stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings and promotional events of stakeholders related to the qualifications portfolio.
  • To support Key Account Management for a range of centres
  • Provide information to the Director of Qualifications as requested.
  • Undertake any other activities as agreed by the Director of Qualifications.
  • To carry out all work in a timely manner and to meet agreed timescales and deadlines.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant issues in education, training and assessment.
  • Maintain a full understanding and awareness of all relevant activities of RSPH.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Relevant experience working within an administrative team
  • Relevant experience within a regulated Awarding Organisation
  • Strong computer literacy – with a high standard of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Experience in producing assessment materials and examination papers
  • Understanding of diversity and equal opportunity principles
  • Effective communicator, both written and oral
  • Strong team player, with the ability to work independently when required
  • Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Articulate and able to present information clearly
  • Numerate with good attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Tactful and diplomatic in approach
  • Availability for out-of-hours evening work and commitments away from home
