About the Organisation

We are an international coalition of young people promoting a culture of pro-activity and entrepreneurship in education and policy. We train young people to become leaders of tomorrow capable of creating jobs for themselves and others. We advocate for entrepreneurship-friendly policies at the national and international levels necessary to achieve decent employment for all and a resource-free, responsible, sustainable development. YouthProAktiv is an organization aiming at creating a generation of proactive individuals ready to invest their talents for the betterment of society by starting their own business and creating jobs for themselves and others. 

The main goal of this organization is to build a new generation of proactive individuals able to build their own businesses and produce jobs for themselves and others.  The second goal is to promote educational reform to achieve a more personalized system, which will create a space for young people to discover their talents and develop their skills. The third goal is to build entrepreneur-friendly policies at the national and international levels.

About the role

YPA is an international coalition, Brussels-based, representing more than 60 national youth organizations across Europe. Fully focused on innovation in education, the selected candidate will manage EU-funded projects on skills development such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, & + EC grants. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, eager to take responsibility for the project and results, proactive, a team player, and passionate about project management and EU affairs. A demonstrable track record of previous experience in EU advocacy, EU project writing, and management is required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct work with EU institutions and EU representatives
  • Executing YPA’s responsibilities within EU-funded projects.
  • Contributing to the definition of the YPA work program for educational projects.
  • Coordinating the implementation of project activities.
  • Facilitating educational activities and moderating conferences and workshops.
  • Contributing to the mapping of funding opportunities and drafting EU project proposals
  • Representing YPA at project meetings and events on EU education policy.
  • Managing a small team of junior project managers.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Requirements: 

  • At least 2 years of experience with EU-funded projects, ideally related to an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage and implement various project tasks, oversee and coordinate partners’ contributions in different working packages
  • Fluency in English, including excellent drafting skills. French is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the EU ecosystem
  • Good understanding of non-formal education and EU education policies.
  • Strong organizational skills and good time management

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with special emphasis on public speaking.
  • Capacity to learn by doing.

Working locations

  • Hybrid model, working in the Tervuren office and remotely
