This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Law Society as a Product Marketing Executive in our busy Member Communications and Marketing team and play a key role in promoting our premium membership to help the Law Society deliver value to our members and their businesses. This is your opportunity to create compelling campaigns, influence strategy, and elevate our member communications.

You'll help grow our premium membership through individual and corporate uptake and be instrumental in communicating the value and benefits of section membership. You will understand the opportunity and importance of key customer touchpoints throughout the customer journey, be excellent at stakeholder management, adaptable to changing priorities, and quick to learn. You will build a deep understanding of our audiences, products, and services to develop compelling content and messaging, using existing and new channels to grow awareness, increase reach, build value, and generate leads.

You will liaise with key internal stakeholders, including our membership operations, membership engagement, brand, social media, content, and digital teams, and manage the day-to-day delivery of our acquisition and retention activities. This is an exciting and varied role where your expertise and knowledge will be used to great effect to make a real impact for our members. The Product Marketing Executive is responsible for developing and delivering creative, customer-centric campaigns to drive revenue of the Law Society’s commercial products and services. The role sits within the Product Marketing Team in Member Communications and Marketing.

This role will collaborate with key stakeholders to build a deep understanding of our audiences, products and services, so that they can develop compelling content and messaging; using a range of channels to increase reach, build awareness, generate leads, and elevate the customer experience. Working in a smooth and effective way to deliver high-quality work, the Product Marketing Executive works within tight deadlines and builds visibility and quality by executing plans, driving outputs and measuring performance. Demonstrating effective communication and proactive relationship building, the role collaborates with the wider marketing team and colleagues across the organisation at all levels.

Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Develop and deliver innovative and impactful marketing campaigns to promote the Law Society’s commercial products and services to relevant audiences, as part of an annual marketing plan delivery.
  • Use data to track and optimise campaign outputs, including behavioural analytics reporting tools to make data-informed decisions, monitoring and reporting on performance against targets.
  • Manage effective creation and delivery of copy, assets, and materials for digital and print, with proficient use of appropriate channels and tools.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and consult with them to deliver marketing activity.
  • Build a deep understanding of key audience segments and commercial products to inform campaigns and tailor content, messaging, and materials.
  • Work within tight deadlines and ensure all outputs consistently meet house style, tone of voice, and brand standards.
  • Support the team with the delivery of projects and campaigns, taking on ad hoc work in line with the level of the post.
  • Be a self-starter with a constructive approach to all aspects of work
  • Have strong planning and coordinating skills with the ability to effectively manage time and prioritise workloads 
  • Possess a proactive approach to supporting a welcoming and respectful working environment.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience creating and delivering marketing campaigns in a digital marketing role
  • Experience in using analytics report tools, email and social platforms, and Microsoft Office software (or equivalent)
  • Strong planning and organisation skills with proven ability to multitask and handle several projects simultaneously
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with accountability for delivering campaigns on time and on budget
  • Experience using a CRM database and manipulating data
  • Experience in managing agencies and freelancers
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with people at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-focused, with the ability to work closely with colleagues across different disciplines and functions
  • Ability to work to deadlines, manage competing priorities, and adapt plans under pressure
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity, and inclusion

Required Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level, or a marketing qualification, CIM, IDM, CAM, or other recognised professional post-graduate qualification or related experience
