About the role

We are seeking a Membership Awards Administrator to support our national awards and recognition programme. Working within the Membership Services and Engagement team, you will play a key role in delivering prestigious awards and recognition activities that help Members feel valued and proud of their College.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key point of contact for RCGP Awards, responding to both internal and external queries, ensuring the Awards processes are run at a high standard from end to end, with a simple and clear experience for nominees and nominators. To work closely with the Member Excellence Team Leader to coordinate national Awards which celebrate member achievements and deliver a great celebration experience, at the most suitable presentation event for them.
    • Awards Force Administer award pages, awards, nominations, judging and other administrative processes on our Awards Force portal. Support any other internal team that may want to use the system.
    • Work with the Governance Officer, following the standard operating procedures, to compile and submit nomination forms to the relevant committees and councils in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Support the Member Excellence Team with liaison with the Fellowship & Awards committee and any external organisations (WSoA, RACGP, etc.) on jointly run awards.
    • Have oversight of our awards webpages, including updating copy and producing engaging content.
    • Record and maintain accurate award-winner data in CRM.
    • Act as liaison between award winners and Membership Events team when coordinating winners’ presentations, including delivery of certificates and trophies, at their preferred member ceremonies

Additionally, Expected:

  • Respond to any Awards-related emails, calls and queries and either action or delegate, as well as organise inbox folders and assign correspondence correctly
  • Support the budget holder with purchase management processes and work with Finance teams regarding any restricted funds associated with awards
  • Support the wider Membership team with any Celebration or Awards events or activities.

  • RCGP officers, committee members, and stakeholders
  • RCGP faculties, regions, and devolved nation offices,
  • External organisations, suppliers and contractors 

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Experience:

  • Working with Medical professionals is desirable
  • Experience of working with awards and recognition programmes, and events
  • Experience of awards nomination and judging processes is desirable
  • Experience with membership organisations is desirable
  • Working successfully as part of a remote working team
  • Working with committees and senior decision-making groups
  • Delivering results to deadlines and on budget, where appropriate
  • Nurturing positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Working with membership or customer databases, or equivalent.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of CRM systems, including data analysis and building reports
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Effective relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to deal with a complex and diverse workload
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office, use of databases, social media and design tools such as Canva.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent experience.

  • Hybrid model, working in the London office and remotely
