BEUC collaborates with other international consumer organisations and stakeholders to strengthen consumer advocacy globally. It is also a key player in building a consumer-friendly digital and sustainable economy in Europe. Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs (BEUC), the European Consumer Organisation, is an umbrella group representing consumer organisations across Europe. Founded in 1962, BEUC promotes and defends European consumers' rights by advocating for policies and legislation that improve consumer protection and well-being.

About the role

BEUC is looking for an E-learning Developer to reinforce its Capacity Building team. As an e-learning developer, you will turn complex policy and relevant workplace skills into engaging e-learning material that creates real, EU-wide impact. The E-learning Developer plays an important role in creating and building quality e-learning programs.

Responsibilities

The E-Learning Developer:

  • Developing interactive e-learning modules (quizzes, scenarios, drag-and-drop, subtitles) using specialised authoring software (SCORM compliant), ensuring quality and timely execution.
  • Liaising with Experts to create learning content and to convene their work into digestible e-learning material.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of training (online and in person) in collaboration with the Capacity Building team.
  • Coordinating feedback and revisions with the Training Coordinator and other stakeholders.
  • Providing tool support and user experience improvements.
  • Maintaining clear documentation of course structures and development processes.
  • Duties may evolve according to the development of the team and its activities.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in e-learning and instructional design. Candidates with more experience will also be considered.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint, and Camtasia.
  • Fluent in written and verbal communication in English (the interview will be in English).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and usability.
  • Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and quickly develop knowledge, including new or unfamiliar areas of work.
  • Team player and highly organised professional capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in instructional design, education, digital learning, multimedia, communication, or a related field.
