About the role

Join the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association as a Business Analyst in a pivotal moment of change, as we transform our Microsoft Dynamics platforms to serve and support the MND community. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key part in transforming systems, redefining processes, and enabling the move to modern, cloud-based platforms.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Analyst who is confident in process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and system transformation to drive real organisational impact. Your expertise as a Business Analyst will bring clarity, challenge established ways of working, and help deliver smarter, more connected solutions.

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth process mapping to document existing workflows and identify areas for optimisation.
  • Work with stakeholders to redefine processes to align with best practices and system capabilities.
  • Engage with teams to understand and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to review and challenge current thinking and processes, understand the impact of change, and encourage new ways of working.
  • Translate business needs into detailed specifications for technology teams and vendors.
  • Ensure alignment between organisation goals and system functionality.
  • Support the planning and execution of system migrations to new solutions.
  • Work with IT and vendors to ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems.
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Assess current business systems as required and recommend enhancements or replacements.
  • Support the selection, configuration, implementation, and rollout of new platforms.
  • Play an active role in user acceptance testing planning and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting and funder requirements.
  • Contribute to training and documentation to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Act as a liaison between functional teams, technology teams, and external partners.
  • Undertake any other task relevant to the job purpose and ensure that all functions performed reflect the Association's mission and core values.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in fundraising charities.
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, business process re-engineering, and requirements gathering.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, challenge the status quo, and pay attention to detail.
  • Experience in system migrations to modern cloud-based platforms.
  • Experience in the Microsoft suite of platforms, particularly Dynamics, Power Platforms, and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of charity systems, especially CRM, income generation, and fundraising platforms.
  • Familiarity with data migration, integration, and system implementation projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Hybrid model, working in the Northampton office and remotely
