John's corporate career spans over forty years. During this time, he has worked in executive positions for Eskom, the Institute of Marketing Management, the Financial Planning Institute, the South African Qualifications Authority and Chartall Business College. Since 1998, John has gained extensive insight and experience into post-school education management and policy development, implementation and advocacy. Most notably he was closely involved in the SAQA policies related to the SA NQF such as the SAQA policy on Recognition of Prior Learning and the SAQA policy on Professional Bodies Recognition. John has attained a Bachelor of Commerce [Rhodes University 1978], an Honours in Business Economics [UNISA 1983], a MDP [UNISA 1985] and the General Manager Programme [Harvard Business School 1998].
