Martin Davies

Head of Digital Learning, Institution of Engineering and Technology

Martin Davies MIET is Head of Digital Learning at The Institution of Engineering and Technology. He has worked in educational publishing for over 25 years and has specialised in digital education solutions for over 10 of those years. Martin heads up the IET Academy, a digital professional education solution (www.academy.theiet.org). Working in conjunction with leading academic and corporate institutions as content partners, Martin and his team of commissioning editors and instructional designers produce a wide-range of courses and hour-long training opportunities for the engineering community. Previously, Martin worked at Wiley where he developed e-learning solutions for Wiley’s society and association publishing partners. In his talk, Martin will discuss the practical aspects of creating e-learning opportunities within membership organisations and will also share issues and problems he has encountered along the way!
