Dr. ir. Jeroen Knol is Managing Director of the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) and Editor in Chief of the online SME magazine Taste of Science. EFFoST is a non-profit organization that connects food science and food technology organizations in Europe and stimulates collaboration between universities, knowledge institutes and companies. Jeroen Knol received his PhD degree in Food Science at Wageningen University, the Netherlands. Prior to EFFoST, he worked for Wageningen Food & Biobased Research successively as product developer, business development manager and senior scientist in food design and structuring. He has coordinated different multi-disciplinary projects (national, EU and international) on food reformulation, sustainable foods, novel processing technologies and product development. With his knowledge about food and the food chain, he helps organizations find solutions for a more sustainable and healthy food supply.
