AIM represents mutual benefit societies as well as statutory and complementary health insurance funds based on solidarity, not-for-profit, and democracy across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. We advocate for universal access to healthcare without inequalities and promote solidarity-based, not-for-profit health systems at the European and international levels.
- Strategic advocacy towards European and international institutions (EU, WHO, ILO, OECD);
- Promoting fair medicine prices as well as access, affordability, and availability of medicines;
- Fostering international cooperation to achieve Universal Health Coverage;
- Serving as a platform for our members to exchange knowledge and pioneering practices.
About the role
The International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies (AIM) is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join its Brussels-based Secretariat. This is a key role within our international team, dedicated to shaping progressive healthcare and social protection policies globally.
Responsibilities
As a member of our team, the Project Manager will:
- Coordination and oversight of multiple policy and advocacy projects in healthcare and pharmaceuticals;
- Expertly prepare and facilitate AIM working groups, meetings, and events;
- Monitor and analyse relevant European and international policy developments;
- Contribute substantively to the drafting of position papers and strategic advocacy campaigns;
- Collaborate closely with AIM members across Europe and Latin America to foster impactful knowledge exchange.
Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes
- 3–5 years of proven experience in European health/pharmaceutical policy, advocacy, or project coordination;
- Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment;
- Strong organisational prowess and outstanding communication skills;
- A collaborative and diplomatic approach;
- Mandatory fluency in both English and Spanish (excellent written and spoken);
- Proficiency in other European languages is a strong asset.
- Experience with communication tools (website management, Canva, Adobe InDesign) and social media is an asset.
