About the role
EuroCommerce is looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative team player who can also work autonomously. You will engage closely with EuroCommerce members across Europe, the EuroCommerce team, and various stakeholders to advance the sector’s interests.
The position focuses on how retail and wholesale businesses market their products and services. In today’s landscape, online and offline sales channels are merging into a seamless omnichannel experience, serving both consumers and business customers. Your first mission will be to develop a compelling narrative on how digital transformation is reshaping our sector.
Responsibilities
- Policy Monitoring and Analysis: Track and analyse EU policy developments affecting omnichannel marketing (e.g. consumer law, Digital Fairness Act, DSA, AI Act, GDPR, Cybersecurity) and keep members informed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work proactively with EuroCommerce members, EU institutions and key stakeholders to ensure the sectors’ interests are well-represented.
- Consensus Building: Develop policy recommendations and positions on priority issues; facilitate consensus among members.
- Communications: Manage internal and external communications, identify and leverage opportunities to promote EuroCommerce narrative.
- Advocacy and Network expansion: Build and maintain a strong network of contacts with members and stakeholders.
- Committee Support: Support the EuroCommerce Committee for Digital, Single Market & Consumer Policy.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
Required Skills:
- A strong interest in EU policy, with a focus on digital and consumer policy.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written), with strong presentation and analytical skills.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with EuroCommerce members and stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate how emerging EU policy debates may impact the sector.
- High energy and a proven ability to deliver results in a demanding environment with tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant Master’s degree and 2-3 years of professional experience.
