Navigating Menopause in the Workplace

Better understand the challenges that women face at work because of the menopause and the support available to them. An overview of BADN's menopause advice and policy.

Introduction

This online seminar "Navigating Menopause in the Workplace"is an overview of BADN's
Menopause Advice Sheet and Policy.  Presented by a dental healthcare professional who has expertise in this area, it will cover the following topics:

  • An overview of menopause, including its causes, symptoms and the importance of addressing menopause-related issues in the workplace.
  • BADN's Menopause Advice Sheet, which provides guidance to their members on how to support women going through menopause.
  • BADN's Menopause Policy, which outlines the association's commitment to promoting good practice in the management of menopause in the workplace.

This seminar will conclude with a discussion and Q&A session, where the presenter will invite participants to ask any questions they may have about menopause in the workplace.

By the end of the seminar, association ambassadors will have a better understanding of the challenges related to the menopause that women face in the workplace and the support available to them.  They should also come away with ideas about how they could implement similar programmes at their associations.
