Innovative ways to boost member engagement

Gain practical advice, new ideas and key insights to improve your member's experience & membership offering

There have never been more ways to engage with your members, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that member engagement has become easier. If anything success now requires a well-thought out strategy that defines your audiences and identifies the right platforms to stimulate conversations among members.

In this seminar:

  • Sharon Legendre, Head of Operations, European Federation of Periodontology, will speak about how her association has optimised its main event as a member engagement platform, that allows it to encourage engagement with its members, not just during the event, but throughout the year as well.
  • Lisa Collins, Head of Membership Engagement and Marketing at International Association of Broadcasting and Media AND Consultant at Dovetail Creative will identify what’s needed to ensure that member engagement is a year-round experience.
  • Lucy Conlan from ReadyMembership / Pixl8, an agency supporting over 200 organisations, will provide her best practice ideas to boost engagement.

This session is open to all association professionals. Join the discussion and share your views.

For your best engagement, the event is held in an online video meeting style.

Optimising a congress for member engagement and building engagement all-year-around
Sharon Legendre, Head of Operations, European Federation of Periodontology

Sometimes a congress becomes so successful that it removes the spotlight from the association that organises it. At the European Federation of Periodontology, Sharon Legendre reversed this trend by ensuring that her association’s brand began to take centre stage at its congress. The EFP then built on this exposure by launching a Gum Health Day campaign to unite its members around a common theme and set the association apart from its competitors. In this session, Sharon will explain how these two simple steps lead to a dramatic increase in member engagement.

We all know that the more we encourage our members to engage in activity with us the more likely they are to stay as loyal members.  How do we cut through the noise of busy inboxes and ensure that our members engage not only during the high profile annual event but at various touch points throughout the year?

During this session Lisa will highlight tools and tactics to ensure a year round member experience.
