RAeS Celebrates International Women's Day in London and Paris

Royal Aeronautical Society hosts two parallel events to champion women in aerospace across its global community

The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) marked International Women's Day 2026 with events held simultaneously in London and Paris, uniting its aerospace community behind this year's global theme of "Give to Gain."

The London event was held at RAeS headquarters and was hosted as part of the Society's BE Inclusive commitment, a cross-sector initiative in which the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) joined forces to champion women across the built and technical professions.

Simultaneously, the RAeS Paris branch hosted a parallel event for its French and European community, reflecting the Society's international reach and its commitment to advancing the position of women within aerospace across all of its global branches.

The RAeS described both events as generating a powerful sense of unity and noted that the commitments made at each gathering would be followed through into practical action within the aerospace community throughout the year. Details of RAeS branch events are published on the RAeS events calendar.
