IFJ and EFJ launch joint fundraising campaign for Ukrainian journalists
The International Federation of Journalists and the European Federation of Journalists launched a joint fundraising campaign on 11 May 2026 to support Ukrainian journalists working in conflict and post-conflict conditions.The campaign channels donations through the IFJ Safety Fund and EFJ partner networks. Funds support protective equipment, trauma support, legal aid and replacement of lost or destroyed reporting equipment for affiliates working in Ukraine.
IFJ represents over 600,000 media professionals in 187 unions and associations across 146 countries. EFJ is its largest regional group. The two federations said the appeal would run through the second half of 2026 with monthly progress updates.
