FERMA Next Gen European Risk Council kicks off in April 2026

The Federation of European Risk Management Associations began the inaugural cohort of its Next Gen European Risk Council, with the first online working session at the end of April 2026.

The Council brings together 15 risk and insurance managers under 35, drawn from FERMA's 24 national member associations across 23 countries. The cohort was selected on 18 March 2026 from applications submitted via national associations. Members will produce a flagship paper, Foresight in Risk Management, to be presented at the FERMA Forum in Rotterdam in October 2026.

FERMA President Philippe Cotelle said the Council gives younger members a structured platform to shape the profession alongside experienced peers. The initiative complements FERMA's recent work on the EU Public Procurement Directives and its 2024 Global Risk Managers Survey, conducted with PwC.
