EASP launched a new collaborative for Executive Committee Nominations and EASP Launches APS Partnership
The European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) opened a call for self-nominations to its Executive Committee in early March 2026, with a deadline of 6 March 2026 — signalling an active governance renewal phase ahead of the association's major annual gathering later in the year.
The call for nominations reflects EASP's commitment to member-led governance. In parallel, the association drew members' attention to academic freedom concerns arising from a survey it is conducting on whether psychological science globally is facing restrictions on research topics, dissemination, or institutional independence.
Separately, EASP launched a new collaborative arrangement with the Association for Psychological Science (APS), offering EASP members early-career and student participation opportunities at the APS 2026 Convention. The Association for Psychological Science invited EASP to identify at least ten graduate student members to serve as Convention Volunteers, receiving complimentary registration. It also offered up to fifteen early-career researchers a 50 per cent registration discount, as part of a shared commitment to increasing participation of junior researchers in international professional communities.
EASP's Diversity Officer, Dr Gülseli Baysu, coordinated the partnership arrangements.
