Civil Society Europe joins new EU Civil Society Platform

Civil Society Europe announced on 22 April, during Civil Society Week 2026, that it will take part in the new EU Civil Society Platform. The Platform is a pillar of the European Commission's Civil Society Strategy and is expected to be established by the end of 2026.

The Brussels-based federation represents national platforms and European networks of civil society organisations across the EU. Its involvement in the Platform places CSE at the table where the formal voice of civil society in EU policymaking will be shaped, alongside the Commission and a wider set of partners.

The announcement positions CSE as a structured interlocutor for civil society in the next phase of EU engagement, at a moment when the Civil Society Strategy is moving from drafting to implementation.
