TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025 to spotlight India’s deep-tech leap and gender diversity in AI
TiE Delhi-NCR is set to host its flagship entrepreneurship conference, TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025, at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, on October 29–30, with a focus on India’s deep-tech sector and its transformative potential. Under the theme "India’s Deeptech Ascent: Celebrating the Builders of Bharat & Startups for Sovereignty," the event promises to unite founders, CXOs, policymakers, investors, scientists, and innovators across domains like artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, semiconductors, space, defence, biotech, and life sciences. The conference underscores the country’s strategic push towards technological sovereignty and self-reliance amid shifting global supply chains and increasing technology rivalries.
One of the highlights of TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025 will be the presence of Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, delivering the Grand Keynote Address. He will be joined by a distinguished roster of speakers that includes government officials such as Sanjiv Singh from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Abhishek Singh, CEO of India AI Mission, and Dr Shivkumar Kalyanraman, CEO of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation. Industry leaders and innovators like Vani Kola, Founder and Managing Director of Kalaari Capital, Pragya Misra Mehrishi from OpenAI India, and Srinath Ravichandran, CEO of AgniKul Cosmos, will also contribute insights into India’s evolving deep-tech landscape.
Among the event’s prominent features is the launch of “CXXO Wired for Impact — Women in Ind(AI),” a pioneering report by Kalaari Capital spotlighting 50 notable women shaping the AI landscape in India. This initiative aims to highlight both the contributions of women in the AI workforce and the pressing need to improve gender diversity across the AI value chain. The report asserts that greater inclusion can enhance the accuracy, inclusivity, and global competitiveness of AI developed in India, reflecting a broader commitment within TiEcon to foster inclusivity and empower underrepresented groups.
Adding to the conference’s depth, TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025 will host the Lab2Scale platform, dedicated to bridging the often challenging gap between deep-tech research and commercialisation. This initiative curates projects within Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4–7, supporting early-stage research to move from proof of concept to pilot and market-ready solutions. Participants will benefit from targeted pitch sessions, founder-industry huddles, and working sessions designed to facilitate the translation of cutting-edge research into viable businesses.
The conference aligns closely with national missions like IndiaAI and the Anusandhan National Research Foundation's deep-tech initiatives, emphasising a virtuous cycle of talent, capital, and markets aimed at fostering indigenous intellectual property creation and positioning India as a global powerhouse in deep technology sectors. TiE Delhi-NCR, with over two decades of experience as a significant chapter within the global TiE Network, continues to serve as a vital platform empowering entrepreneurs and innovators by providing mentorship, investment opportunities, and access to a global network.
Complementing the core program, TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025 will also present special recognitions such as the TiE–Binary Emerging Finance Leader Awards and the CXXO Women Disruptors, celebrating leadership and innovation across the ecosystem. The conference’s carefully curated networking sessions, including investor breakfasts and moonshot mixers, are designed to foster meaningful collaborations essential for scaling ventures from inception to impact.
Overall, TiEcon Delhi-NCR 2025 promises a comprehensive ecosystem experience, from inspiration to execution, showcasing India’s burgeoning deep-tech capabilities and the critical role of startups in driving the country's strategic technological ascent.
