The IET has a grown up over its 142 years with members at its heart. It has also changed dramatically over the last 10 years, turning from a traditional ‘Institution’ into a modern multi-national business – driving the need for a new approach to working with volunteers. This case study looks at how a change of approach to ‘conscious volunteer management’, with visible commitment and investment from the top, is creating a strong culture of one-team working.
