Osstem's bold push at EAO 2025 cements its rising influence in European implant dentistry
Osstem Implant is set to participate prominently in the 32nd Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO 2025), taking place from 18 to 20 September in Monaco. This marks Osstem’s third consecutive top-tier sponsorship of the event, underlining its commitment to the European dental implant market. The company will present a comprehensive range of products at Booth R48, including dental implants, digital guides, and guided bone regeneration solutions. Additionally, dedicated sections will showcase Hiossen implants and Medit intra-oral scanners. Experts from Osstem’s South Korean headquarters will be joined by colleagues from its European subsidiaries spanning Germany, Italy, Spain, France, and Portugal, offering consultations in English and various local languages.
Ki-Duck Kim, head of Osstem Implant Europe, emphasised the positive impact of last year’s EAO congress in Milan on the company’s brand recognition across Europe. Speaking about Osstem’s growth since its first participation in the EAO congress in Paris in 2004, Kim reflected on how the firm has evolved from a relatively unknown entity to a global brand and Diamond Sponsor of one of the most prestigious academic events in implant dentistry. Founded in 1997, Osstem expanded its European presence with the establishment of its German subsidiary in 2005, now one of 37 international offices worldwide.
In addition to its product exhibits, Osstem will run a hands-on workshop titled “My First Implant,” directed towards young dental practitioners. Co-hosted by Dr Viraj Patel from the UK, the session will provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical training, utilising Osstem’s 122 Taper Kit. This kit is designed to simplify implant placement by reducing the number of drilling steps required, adapting efficiently to varying bone densities. The workshop will take place on 18 September in Room Nijinski, running from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (CEST), presenting an invaluable learning opportunity for newly qualified dentists.
Another significant highlight is Osstem’s dedicated industry forum on digital full-arch implant rehabilitation, scheduled for 19 September. This forum, moderated by Professor Ieva Gendviliene from Vilnius University, will explore digital workflows transitioning from analog techniques in full-arch treatments. The session will feature presentations from noted experts including Dr Nikhil Oberai (UK), Dr Charles Zadikian (France), and Dr Marco Tallarico (Italy). Discussions will focus on how emerging digital technologies in planning, guided surgery, and CAD/CAM prosthetics are enhancing clinical success rates, durability, aesthetics, and overall patient outcomes.
The EAO 2025 congress itself is a premier event in implant dentistry, themed “The impact of time in implant dentistry.” Set against Monaco’s Mediterranean backdrop, it promises to deliver leading-edge research, networking, and educational opportunities in collaboration with the French Society of Periodontology and Oral Implantology. The event will spotlight the First Global Consensus for Clinical Guidelines in Implant Dentistry, underscoring its academic significance and the advancement of clinical practice standards.
Complementing Osstem’s efforts at the congress, companies like Osstell are also participating, offering innovations such as Resonance Frequency Analysis (RFA) technology to objectively measure implant stability. Osstell’s engagement at the event reflects a growing integration of data-driven tools that aid clinicians in optimising implant treatment protocols and timings, further advancing clinical outcomes.
Osstem’s presence at EAO 2025 extends beyond education and demonstration. To enhance attendee experience, the company will provide premium catering at its booth and organise a “stamp tour” with giveaways, including its Leoger animal character and oral care kits. This multifaceted approach illustrates Osstem’s strategy to engage with dental professionals holistically—from technology and training to networking and brand experience.
Osstem’s ongoing sponsorship and expanded activities at EAO 2025 exemplify how it is solidifying its role as a key player in the European implant dentistry landscape, helping to shape the future direction of dental care through innovation, education, and collaboration.
