ISACA launches Advanced in AI Risk certification for IT risk professionals

ISACA launched the Advanced in AI Risk certification, known as AAIR, on 15 April. The credential targets IT risk professionals who govern, assess, and manage AI risk at scale across enterprise environments.

Erik Prusch, ISACA's Chief Executive Officer, said the credential helps the profession step up to the demands of AI deployment. Shannon Donahue, Chief Content Officer, oversaw the development of AAIR. Candidates need to hold one of ISACA's existing credentials, such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT or CDPSE, before sitting the assessment.

AAIR slots into ISACA's growing AI portfolio and signals the Association's intent to provide formal credentials for the practitioners now responsible for managing AI risks across data, models, deployment, and governance.
