IFSW co-hosts UN side event on financing health and resilience in conflict
The International Federation of Social Workers co-hosted a UN side event on 22 April with the NGO Committee on Financing for Development. The hybrid event, "Financing People's Health and Resilience in Conflict: Learning from the Frontlines", ran from 1:15 to 2:45 PM EST.
The session examined how the Seville Outcome Document can mobilise climate and development finance for communities facing the combined pressures of conflict and climate vulnerability. Frontline social workers shared lessons from the ground to inform the wider Financing for Development conversation at the United Nations.
The event sits within IFSW's wider engagement at the UN and signals the Federation's continued role in connecting practitioner experience with international financing debates. The output feeds into the run-up to the next major UN financing milestone.
