Guwahati set to host expanded North East Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicle Expo in 2025
The Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) has confirmed the second edition of the North East Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicle Expo (NEREVE 2025), to be held from 21st to 23rd November 2025 at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. Building on the success of NEREVE 2024, the upcoming event promises to be larger and more impactful, bringing together key stakeholders from the renewable energy and electric mobility sectors to accelerate clean-energy adoption in the North Eastern Region.
NEREVE 2025 will showcase around 70 companies across 120 exhibition stalls, including a dedicated open display zone for electric vehicle manufacturers to present new and upcoming models. The event schedule includes policy dialogues, technical conferences, knowledge-sharing sessions, and dedicated B2B and B2G meetings, facilitating extensive collaboration between industry, government, academia, and innovators. The expo aims to highlight the North East's strategic importance within India's broader clean-energy roadmap, reflecting its emerging role in the country's clean-tech transformation.
Supported by multiple central ministries, namely the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), and the Ministry of Power, NEREVE 2025 represents a concerted effort by government bodies to promote sustainable growth in the region. This collaborative backing underlines the North East's potential to contribute significantly to India's national clean-energy and electric vehicle ambitions.
A major focus of NEREVE 2025 will be empowering local entrepreneurs and startups from the North Eastern states. By providing direct access to emerging technologies and market trends, coupled with opportunities for interaction with central ministries, public sector undertakings (PSUs), and industry leaders, the expo seeks to foster entrepreneurship and innovation within the region. Capacity-building and skill development sessions will be part of the knowledge program, addressing the need for business growth support and talent enhancement in clean-tech fields.
The event also signals a growing recognition of the North East as an important player in the clean-tech ecosystem, with its unique advantages and challenges in renewable energy deployment and electric mobility adoption. Industry participants, policy makers, and academic institutions will have the chance to engage in meaningful dialogue on advancing the clean energy agenda, enabling a more coordinated regional push toward sustainable development.
The three-day expo will thus serve not only as a business and technology showcase but as a critical platform for shaping the future of clean energy and electric vehicles in the North East. It aligns with FINER's broader commitment to fostering industrial development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth in this part of India.
Other upcoming events at Sarusajai Stadium in November 2025, such as the Construction Machinery Expo and the North-East Build Expo, highlight the period as an important time for multiple sectors focusing on infrastructure, technology, and sustainable development to converge in Guwahati, underscoring the city’s emerging status as a hub for regional economic growth.
