Global Certification Forum adds interoperability testing

Global Certification Forum has made interoperability testing an active part of its certification for mission-critical broadband services, in a step announced with TCCA on 20 May. The addition supports the rollout of 5G and LTE networks for first responders, public safety agencies, and critical infrastructure providers by checking that certified equipment works together in practice.

With more than 300 members drawn from network operators, device makers, and the test industry, the forum is widening what its certification covers. It is a clear example of a business membership body developing its core service to keep pace with its sector.
