FERMA Completes Second rimap® Certification Course with Brokerslink

The federation advances its professional development offer with a second preparatory course for the rimap® risk manager certification.

Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) has completed its second rimap® certification preparatory course in partnership with Brokerslink, further developing the federation's professional development offering for risk management practitioners across Europe.

The rimap® certification — the European risk manager credential recognised across FERMA's 23 member national associations — represents a significant professional milestone for risk and insurance managers seeking to demonstrate their competence against a pan-European standard. The involvement of Brokerslink, an international network of independent insurance brokers and risk advisers, reflects the growing importance of cross-sector professional credentialing in the risk management market.

The completion of the second course builds on the momentum established by the first preparatory run and is designed to support more professionals across FERMA's network in accessing the qualification. FERMA has been progressively developing the rimap® framework as a core element of its value proposition to members, particularly as European risk managers face increasingly complex regulatory and operational environments.

The course completion comes alongside FERMA's launch of its Next Gen European Risk Council (reported separately) and the publication of its second Global Risk Manager Survey with PwC in January 2026 — collectively demonstrating the federation's active investment in both the professional development and research dimensions of its work.

FERMA's advocacy work in the same period included a January 2026 position paper calling on the European Commission to exclude insurance policies from the scope of the EU Public Procurement Directives.
