FENS opens registration for Brain Conference on Cancer Neuroscience

Federation-backed conference explores cancer neuroscience with registration deadline 25 April.

The Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) has opened registration for its Brain Conference on Cancer Neuroscience, with a registration deadline of 25 April 2026. The Brain Conferences are a long-running programme run by FENS in partnership with Lundbeckfonden, addressing emerging fields at the frontier of neuroscience research.

Cancer neuroscience is one of the fastest-growing interdisciplinary areas in biomedical research, examining how tumours interact with the nervous system and how nerve signalling contributes to cancer progression and treatment response. The FENS conference brings together researchers from across Europe and beyond to share work spanning basic biology, translational studies and early clinical applications, with faculty drawn from leading centres and from FENS member societies, including the British Neuroscience Association and the Neurowissenschaftliche Gesellschaft.

FENS has said the Brain Conference format is deliberately kept small and focused, providing early-career researchers with opportunities to meet senior scientists and build collaborations. Member societies of the Federation can access discounted registration rates, in line with FENS's policy of supporting the next generation of European neuroscientists.
