FENS Forum 2026 Opens Registration for Barcelona Conference

Europe's largest neuroscience meeting returns to Spain, hosted by the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.

Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) has opened full registration for the FENS Forum 2026, Europe's largest international neuroscience conference, taking place from 6–10 July 2026 at FIRA Barcelona Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain. The event is co-organised with the Spanish Society of Neuroscience and is expected to bring together more than 7,000 delegates from across the world.

The preliminary scientific programme for the Forum was published in late 2025, and FENS has confirmed it features a diverse and ambitious range of sessions covering all areas of contemporary neuroscience. The programme includes special lectures by world-leading researchers, symposia, workshops, and networking activities designed to foster cross-disciplinary exchange.

In parallel with the Forum preparations, FENS has expanded its member services with a new benefit: members of the Federation can now access the same registration rates as members of the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) for the 49th Annual Meeting of JNS, taking place in Kobe from 30 July to 2 August 2026 under the theme "Let Future Neuroscientists Take off!".

FENS has also received support from the Dana Foundation for 32 Brain Awareness Week 2026 projects across 19 European countries, further demonstrating the federation's commitment to public engagement with neuroscience.

In addition to the Barcelona Forum, FENS is currently recruiting for a Community Engagement Intern role, reflecting the federation's active investment in its outreach and global engagement activities.
