European Equestrian Federation Announces 2026 Working Group Appointments
European Equestrian Federation (EEF) has announced its 2026 working group appointments, filling key advisory roles ahead of the upcoming rules revision process for the Longines EEF Series (LES) and the federation's wider governance activities.
The appointments follow the EEF's annual National Federation Secretary Generals meeting — held online — which provided a constructive forum for discussing priorities for the year ahead. The federation has indicated that the 2026 rules revision process will be a significant element of its work programme.
The EEF also sent a delegation to the MEP Horse Group meeting at the European Parliament in Brussels on 5 March 2026, representing the federation's interests at the EU policy level on matters affecting equestrian sport and the equine sector more broadly.
On the competition side, the EEF confirmed the 2026 Longines EEF Series calendar, and previously announced the continuation of its partnership with Longines through to 2030 — a reaffirmation of a long-term commercial collaboration. A new partnership with French equestrian apparel brand Harcour as the Official Supplier of the Longines EEF Series from 2026 was also announced earlier in the year.
Looking further ahead, the EEF confirmed that the Longines EEF Series Final 2027 will take place in Avenches, Switzerland, from 18–22 August, following approval by the Board during its February teleconference.
