EUA Leadership Development Programme cohort meets in Istanbul

The European University Association's Leadership Development Programme welcomed its second cohort to Istanbul for the first in-person session of the 2026 cycle. The session ran from 15 to 21 April and was hosted at Yeditepe University.

Participants worked through change leadership, the European policy landscape, and the funding pressures shaping higher education across the continent. The cohort represents universities from across Europe and continues a programme designed to prepare senior leaders for institutional and sectoral change.

The programme runs across multiple modules throughout the year and combines residential sessions, peer learning, and coaching. The Istanbul session set the tone for the cohort and connected its members into the EUA's wider leadership network.
