EGBA confirms European Safer Gambling Week 2026 dates for 16-22 November

Pan-European awareness week returns for its sixth year, focused on responsible play and safer tools.

The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has confirmed that the sixth European Safer Gambling Week will take place from 16 to 22 November 2026. The week-long initiative is run by EGBA in coordination with national trade bodies across Europe and is dedicated to raising awareness of safer gambling tools, consumer protection measures and sources of help for those affected by gambling harm.

European Safer Gambling Week brings together online gambling operators, land-based venues, trade associations and consumer organisations to promote responsible play during one of the busiest periods in the sporting calendar. EGBA has worked with partners including the European Lotteries association and national bodies such as the Betting and Gaming Council on themed content around self-exclusion schemes, deposit limits and advertising standards.

EGBA has said that confirming the 2026 dates early allows operators, regulators and support organisations to plan aligned campaigns across jurisdictions. The Association has also signalled that the 2026 programme will place particular emphasis on the role of data and AI in identifying and supporting at-risk customers, building on the framework set out in its Code of Conduct on Safer Gambling.
