EFIM Seeks New Editor-in-Chief for Its Flagship Journal

European Federation of Internal Medicine opens applications for a six-year editorial leadership role on the EJIM.

The European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM) has opened an application process to appoint a new Editor-in-Chief for the European Journal of Internal Medicine (EJIM), one of the field's leading peer-reviewed titles in Europe.

The incoming Editor-in-Chief will assume responsibility for the scientific leadership and strategic direction of the journal for a six-year term beginning in January 2027. EFIM is seeking an internationally recognised expert in internal medicine with a strong academic background, editorial experience, and a clear vision for the journal's continued growth and scientific impact.

EJIM is an official publication of EFIM and covers all areas of internal medicine, serving as a key resource for clinicians and researchers across the federation's 48 national member societies. The role requires the successful candidate to lead the journal's editorial board, oversee peer review processes and drive the journal's development in terms of reach, quality and influence within the European and global internal medicine community.

The deadline for applications is 31 May 2026. Full application details and requirements are available on the EFIM website.
