ecoDa publishes 2026 European Corporate Governance Barometer

The European Confederation of Directors' Associations released its 2026 governance barometer in May.

The European Confederation of Directors' Associations released the 2026 European Corporate Governance Barometer in May 2026. The annual report was produced in partnership with Ethics & Boards.

The Barometer tracked board composition, independence, diversity, demographics and remuneration across the STOXX Europe 600, benchmarked against the S&P 100 in the United States. The 2026 edition confirmed that European boards continued to strengthen diversity and governance practices, while highlighting the structural differences in ownership between Europe and the US.

ecoDa represents the main national institutes of directors across 21 European countries, with a combined reach of around 50,000 individual directors. The full report sits on the ecoDa website.
