One of the biggest challenges faced by many boards and councils is securing volunteers willing to make themselves available for service. SACIA has implemented a Board performance appraisal system that allows us to assess the performance of our individual Board and Council members. By establishing clear objectives and monitoring performance, we’ve been able to elect an engaged Board who embrace their responsibilities and work together to achieve the Association’s mission.

In the presentation I’ll share some practical online tools to assess Board performance and conduct online election.

Kevan Jones is the Executive Director of the Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA). He?s spent the last decade working in the not-for-profit sector across Africa and the Middle East. Kevan holds a master?s degree from Regents University London School of Psychology and Psychotherapy. He also holds CAE designations from both the American and Canadian Societies of Association Executives, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Association Management in the UK.
