BioIndustry Association reflects on inaugural BioSolutions UK conference

200 innovators and 29 investors gathered for a new biotech and chemistry showcase.

The BioIndustry Association published a reflection on its inaugural BioSolutions UK conference on 23 April. The new event brought together 200 innovators and 29 investors to showcase opportunities at the intersection of biotechnology, chemistry and engineering biology.

Written by BIA's Ethan Almond, the blog set out the value of bringing scientists and capital into the same room, and highlighted UK companies, including Twig Bioscience, among those drawing investor attention. The event programme was built to support early-stage companies in attracting partnerships and investment as the engineering biology sector grows.

The Association used the inaugural BioSolutions UK as a platform to extend its convening role beyond traditional therapeutics into the wider chemistry-bio interface, signalling the breadth of the UK's life sciences ecosystem.
