AED reveals expanded 2025-2026 conference lineup with focus on leadership and inclusivity
Associated Equipment Distributors (AED), representing companies in the equipment distribution, rental, and support sectors, has unveiled detailed plans for its upcoming conferences and events, positioned to enhance industry leadership and foster professional development. These initiatives reflect AED's commitment to addressing the evolving needs of its members, equipping them with essential skills and insights as they navigate the complexities of the equipment market.
The AED Leadership Conference is set to take place from August 5-7, 2025, at the Conrad Las Vegas at Resorts World. This event is designed to cultivate leadership within the equipment distribution sector and will feature a variety of sessions tailored to emerging professionals. Notably, Amy Parrish of Iluma Learning will moderate a Leaders Roundtable on August 6, which will focus on navigating growth opportunities. Parrish will also lead a professional development workshop on the following day, aimed at improving interpersonal skills through techniques involving the "Four Personality Styles." This hands-on approach promises to enhance attendees' abilities to build relationships and effectively manage conflict.
For those interested in women’s leadership within the equipment sector, the Women in Equipment Conference is scheduled for September 17-18, 2025, at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown. This annual gathering is positioned as a platform for empowerment, featuring discussions that centre on leadership development and networking. It aims to facilitate meaningful conversations on advancing women's roles in the equipment industry. AED underscores the importance of this event, noting that early registration discounts are available until August 2, 2025.
Looking further ahead, the 2026 AED Summit will be hosted from January 17-19, 2026, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. Marketed as a premier event for the industry, it will unite distributors, manufacturers, and service providers under one roof. With educational programming featuring over 40 expert-led sessions and more than 200 exhibiting companies, the Summit promises extensive networking opportunities. A key highlight will be an OEM Panel Discussion, which aims to provide critical insights into current challenges, future trends, and strategic approaches shaping the equipment market. Brian P. McGuire, President and CEO of AED, stated that this gathering of influential industry leaders will offer unique perspectives crucial for members looking to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing landscape.
In addition to the panel, the Summit will present a keynote address by Ambassador Nikki Haley during a dinner dialogue with McGuire. This part of the programme will also showcase First Sergeant Matt Eversmann (Ret.), whose experiences during the Black Hawk Down mission offer a poignant backdrop for discussions on leadership and perseverance. Furthermore, economist Lauren Saidel-Baker from ITR Economics is set to provide vital economic insights relevant to the industry's future.
As AED continues to adapt its offerings to better serve the needs of its membership, the planned conferences underscore a strategic focus on leadership, inclusivity, and professional development. These events not only promise to enhance the capabilities of attendees but also aim to strengthen the community of professionals within the equipment distribution industry, cementing AED’s role as a pivotal resource for its members.
