About the role

AmCham EU is seeking a motivated self-starter to be responsible for the strategy, planning & organisation of the events and managing the overall day-to-day events activity of AmCham EU. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Outreach, the position requires a team player with exceptional organisational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for event organisation of all major (hybrid/online/in person) conferences, seminars & events, including AmCham EU’s Gala;
  • Create & implement overall AmCham EU events strategy and budget;
  • Manage, coordinate efforts, and plan events; ensure events meet the strategic & tactical needs of the organisation;
  • Benchmarks AEU events with other stakeholders/competitors;
  • Build & maintain relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and members;
  • Develop overall communication and marketing plan and be responsible for event mailings (internally and externally);
  • Oversee sponsorship relationships, including outreach, communication, follow-up, and negotiation with current and potential sponsors;
  • Able to create and deliver presentations, including event sales and sponsorship presentations;
  • Manage the marketing materials for the organisation, and be responsible for giving back projects.
  • Work closely with the Senior Events and Marketing Officer;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of events, including Content, Policy, and Operations.

Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes

Qualifications, Skills, Experience Required:

  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
  • Proactive and able to work on and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
  • Schedule flexibility in supporting events (conference, breakfasts, evening receptions)
  • Project management, problem-solving skills, and stress resilience;
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent IT skills, Knowledge of CRM.
  • Fluent English. French and Dutch are a plus
