EUROPUR is the European Association of Flexible Polyurethane Foam Blocks Manufacturers. Polyurethane foam is a plastic material very widely used in upholstered furniture, bedding and transports.

About the role

We are today hiring a Communications Officer to reinforce our team in Brussels.

Responsibilities

You will become the main person responsible for our organization’s internal and external communications. As such your tasks will include:

• Organization of Meetings and Events: from small working group meetings to our annual conference attended by several hundred participants;
• Drafting of minutes meetings and follow-up on actions;
• Maintenance of our website and social media accounts;
• Drafting of electronic newsletter, media releases and materials for print;
• Creating infographics for our social media, website, booklets and other communication material;
• Liaison with our communications and events agencies and other external suppliers;
• Maintaining our databases and mass-mailing systems;
• Where relevant, management of our presence at tradeshows and external events;
• Over time, delivering presentations and speaking at public events;

Skills, Competencies & Experience

Required Skills:

• As you will be responsible for our association’s image and interacting with our members and stakeholders from all over Europe and beyond, we expect great interpersonal skills, attention to detail, as well as outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
• Our working language is English. A good understanding of at least one other major European language is required.
• You should be proficient with design software such as Canva or Adobe Suite. Experience with WordPress is a plus. Your position does include occasional travel in Europe.

Required Experience:

•   At least 1-2 years work experience or relevant internships

Required Qualifications

• You should have a relevant university degree, bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a focus on communications, marketing or related fields
