About the role
As part of the Transport & Logistics team, you will support advocacy initiatives, monitor key policy developments, assist expert working groups, and help draft industry positions reflecting legal, political, and company perspectives. You will also contribute to developing best practices in sustainable and digital chemical supply chains. In this role as a Safety and Quality Project Officer, you will have the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality, safety, and security of chemical transport and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Transport & Logistics Director with managing members’ network teams.
- Support advocacy and member compliance concerning transport & logistics quality, safety, and security with relevant EU and international regulations;
- Assist the Transport & Logistics Safety Manager at internal and external safety meetings (UN, IMO, EU);
- Execute operational tasks related to safety and quality systems like SQAS and ICE;
- Manage the performance review related to SQAS and ICE;
- Managing the public resources and communication (website, social media);
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on quality and safety issues;
- Prepare and coordinate meetings and workshops, create presentations, and write meeting reports.
Skills, Competencies, & Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in administrative and/or project support, a related or similar function;
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and results-oriented;
- Knowledge of the chemical and transport industry is a definite plus.
- Quick learner with a curious personality and who can work under pressure and prioritize while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities;
- Good team player who can work as well independently and objectively in a multi-functional and multicultural team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Full professional proficiency in English (written and oral), additional European languages are a definite asset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, logistics, or business management;
